1st quarter 2026

A Caucasian mother in her 30s, raising three children, came to us carrying the long-term effects of both childhood and adult abuse. At the time, she was unemployed and struggling with severe anxiety and depression that impacted her physical health, sleep, and ability to parent consistently. Through trauma-focused care, including EMDR therapy, she has made remarkable progress. She is now working full-time, sleeping well, and engaging more confidently and consistently as a parent. Her growth has also positively affected her family—most notably, her youngest child has experienced a significant reduction in negative incidents at school. This transformation highlights the powerful impact of accessible, sustained mental health support for parents and their children.

2nd quarter 2026

An African American female between the ages of 30 and 40 came to receive help after living her life behind the locked doors of a sex house to which she was sold at age 13. she reported at her first session that she intended to return to the house even though she knew they would beat her for leaving. she already suffered from loss of vision for past beatings. she was going to return because she could not stand to get a job, be around males, go into public alone or leave her advocate provided apartment. after 7 sessions, she no longer met the clinical criteria for PTSD, anxiety or depression. she began taking classes for her GED, was enjoying outings to the stockyards and was encouraging other women that were being sex trafficked to get help. She is excited to pursue a career where she can help children.
